WIG Director of Strategy and Regulation appointed to Ofcom Spectrum Advisory Board

Alastair Davidson, Director of Strategy and Regulation at Wireless Infrastructure Group, has been appointed as a member of the Ofcom Spectrum Advisory Board (OSAB), which provides independent advice to Ofcom on strategic spectrum management issues.

Working alongside other members of the board Alastair will work to provide independent strategic advice to help Ofcom to carry out its remit in securing optimal use of the radio spectrum, taking account of the different needs and interests of all users. 

“I’m delighted to be on the board of the OSAB working to ensure that the needs of all users are met in regard to spectrum use and I look forward to working alongside the Chair, Gavin Young and other board members to debate the key issues and implications for the UK communications market,” said Alastair.

With over 20 years in the communications industry working in the mobile infrastructure, public safety, cable tv and fibre sectors Alastair is also Chair of the Digital Infrastructure Working Group of the Digital Connectivity Forum (DCF), and Board Member of the European Wireless Infrastructure Association (EWIA).
