The challenge
Like many hospitals, this healthcare facility faced challenges with poor mobile signal due to its construction materials, which include thick concrete and steel. Certain areas of the hospital experienced no coverage from any of the four major mobile networks and over 50% of patients were unable to connect to the Wi-Fi, preventing them from making calls or sending messages. This had a huge impact on patients connecting with friends and family during stressful times, causing unnecessary distress.
