European Wireless Infrastructure Association launched

WIG is a founding member of the European Wireless Infrastructure Association (EWIA), whose members have more than €60bn invested in wireless infrastructure assets around the globe.  Launched in 2014, EWIA promotes policies to support the role independent wireless infrastructure providers play in delivering efficient operation and utilisation of wireless infrastructure.

WIG CEO Scott Coates serves as Chairman of the EWIA, and said: “Independent wireless infrastructure receives more investment and is easier to access than traditionally owned infrastructure.  The 11 members of our newly formed association have major plans to invest across the EU and can play a key role in delivering better connectivity.”
