The group provides a dedicated platform for collaboration, knowledge exchange and strategic discussion, helping local authorities accelerate digital deployment in ways that deliver meaningful benefits for communities, public services and local businesses.

While the current focus is on the strategic use of outdoor small cells, SDIG maintains a technology-neutral approach. This ensures discussions remain relevant not just to immediate priorities, but to the evolving digital infrastructure landscape across Scotland.
