About the role

This role is of Finance Assistant to support the Finance Team.

Location of work

The role is office based.

Key responsibilities

  • Daily running of the purchase ledger including the following:
    • Control of accounts payable email inbox
    • Finance contact for project POs – checking daily for authorised invoices invoices to process
    • Invoice processing
    • Expense Processing
    • Opening and distributing mail
  • Electricity recharge invoices
  • Daily cash postings to cash book, sales and purchase ledgers
  • Daily bank reconciliations
  • Setting up month end balance sheet spreadsheets and spreadsheets used for the calculations of accruals and prepayment
  • Reconcile foreign companies monthly balance sheets
  • Foreign VAT submissions
  • Rates reconciliations

Essential skills

  • Methodical worker
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Desired Functional & Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of Sage 200 Accountancy Package
  • Good communication skills with all levels
  • Confident/proactive self-starter
